Google SketchUp is '3D for Everyone' but, of course, not everyone speaks English. For some time now, SketchUp has been available in French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Japanese. But that still left out lots of the people in the world.
Today, I'd like to say "witamy, bem-vindo, Добро пожаловать, and welkom" as we release new language support for SketchUp in Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, and Dutch. If you don't see your language yet, don't worry. We're not done yet, and we'll have more news to announce soon. Enjoy, and happy modeling!

Please tell us who we can switch to one of languages mentioned in your message (i personally interested in russian). We should re-download and re-install SU in order to stuck with prefered localization or ... ?
p.s.: I haven`t found localization packs on downloads page (bad search?)
I konw that you can and a good idea
I wanted to try out the Brazilian Portuguese localization on my windows 7 64 bit home premium os which happens to be in us english.
Is this actually 'doable'. If so, how????
Cheers

I performed some tests with the tool sketchup, and I could see that the language is changed according to the format selection option within the "Region and Language" of your Windows.
To change the language of sketchup perform these steps:
Click Start> Control Panel> Region and Language> Format> select "Portuguese Brazil" Now click apply and ok.
Try starting sketchup and make your language.
Hope that helps!
Poste to tell if it worked for you. Sincerely, Evelin Meiwald.
